Location: Denver, CO

FLYHT is looking for a meticulous and motivated Requirements Engineer to join our team in Littleton CO to clearly define and manage product and business requirements. The ideal candidate with have experience interpreting business needs with the intent to translate this knowledge into operational product and system requirements. Responsibilities

  • Develop product documentation to clearly and concisely capture business requirements for Airborne and Ground systems
  • Participate in the definition of product requirements, and maintain requirement traceability through design, development, and testing stages
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure final product meets business expectations
  • Generate functional and non-functional requirements based on product stories
  • Be accountable for requirements metrics targets
  • Provide technical support for, and generation of system Interface Control documentation
  • Generate and review Test Cases
  • Support initial triage of development software defects

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science; or equivalent
  • 5 plus years of experience in Systems Engineering or Requirements Engineering
  • Ability to provide detailed reviews of complex/technical specifications
  • Experience working in a Requirements Management tool (e.g., Xray, DOORS)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of engineers, managers, executives, support staff, and customers
  • Meticulous and systematic with the ability to apply ingenuity to the process
  • General understanding of aircraft systems and maintenance
  • Technical writing skills
  • Experience with end-to-end SDLC with Scrum, an asset
  • Knowledge and understanding of and experience with AS9100; aviation standards such as RTCA and ARINC; avionic software development guidelines; Flight Manuals, Performance Software and other Publications; Satellite communications; and aircraft Data Busses, an asset
  • Experience and proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, R4J, Xray test management, agile development methodologies, an asset
